Shipping of the hardware will begin during the second half of October,
but you will receive the key to the software right after you have

We are currently looking for 20 European beta testers who want to assist us in testing our pictoGEO GPS logger under real-life conditions. For this purpose we are giving away 20 GPS loggers and pictoGEO add-on licenses for the special one-time beta-tester price of € 50. Since this price is highly subsidized (the normal price will be € 119, see below) this offer is limited to 20 people and each person can only apply for a single device! pictoGEO GPS Logger
For journalists working for a major computer or photography related magazine (or other media) we provide a limited set of free samples of the pictoGEO data logger. People who are interested should contact us also via the e-mail mentioned above.
Starting from Tuesday next week (Oct 7th) our shop will go online where you can officially pre-order the pictoGEO GPS logger or support the Pictomio DevTeam by buying one of our exclusive donation polo shirts. The official price for the pictoGEO GPS logger together with a pictoGEO Add-On license will be € 119,- and we expect to be able to ship the first devices on October 15th together with the final release of Pictomio 1.2.

We released today the first update of our technology preview alpha version of Pictomio with pictoGEO addon. It includes many bug fixes and a few new features, but note that it is still a very early version with all the instability and lacking features you would expect from an alpha version. But feel free to test it and give us feedback here or in the forum. Especially we would like to know how you like the new geotagging possibilities, if you plan to make use of it and what geo features you would like us to add in future versions.
We think that geotagging is an exiting new way of managing your precious memories from all over the world. Tell us what you think about it.

We experienced errors when starting the new Pictomio alpha version on some systems due to problems with the VS runtime modules, so we updated our installer to fix the problem.
If you get an error (or even a crash) when trying to run Pictomio alpha 1.1, please download and start the installer again (it has the same file name as before). If you still experience errors when trying to start Pictomio alpha version after that procedure, please let us know here or in the forum.
