Support Request: Downloading PDFs screen size incorrect

Description

See attached screenshot inside the .zip file.

When downloading PDF files inside of SiteKiosk (through the download manager), they display incorrectly. The PDF loads, then resizes itself to about a quarter size, and a huge black box appears below, disabling enlarging it to fill the whole window.

This is not the case when downloading and viewing PDF files on the limited account with the restrictions lifted.

Surprisingly, the same config file when used on a different machine works perfectly fine, without any errors. They are running different SiteKiosk versions (the one that's working is running 8.7.xxxx).

Thanks,

Hello,

With the previous SiteKiosk version 8.8 there is a known bug:
Using the toolbar option can lead to display problems with pdf files. It can also happen that videos show a toolbar in screensaver mode.
You can download the patch in our version history:
http://www.sitekiosk.com/en-US/Downloads/VersionHistory.aspx?Product=SiteKiosk?ItemID=1&OpenItem=166#Item_166

I've recently installed sitekiosk on a few new kiosks running the same pages that are used in the original case. I installed the latest (final) 8.8 version of sitekiosk following the link provided in your original response, however the bug has returned. The bug is still no longer a problem on the original kiosks. Is there anything we can do?

Hello,

There is / was no known issue with this after installing the fix. You may check again with downloading & installing the patch again:
http://www.provisio.com/download/SK8.8PlayerFix.zip
Or just deactivate the option “Display PDF Toolbar” at ”-->Access/Security”.
Please note that SiteKiosk Version 8.8 is out of support.

Alternatively you may update to the most current SiteKiosk version 8.91 (where this is generally fixed):
http://www.provisio.com/en-GB/Downloads/Download.aspx?ItemId=1

But please note that your license maybe is not valid for SiteKiosk 8.91 anymore
You can update for free to all SiteKiosk versions that were published within 12 months after buying your license. After that time period you need to buy an update to use a newer version.
