Support Request: Get alert when pc is online

Description

I have read http://devblog.provisio.com/post/2013/06/20/Creating-a-Custom-SiteRemote-Alert.aspx but it looks very complicated.
today we get an email notification when a kiosk goes offline. i would like to get another one for when its back online.
can you help me out to get this fixed?

Hi, as there is no entry into the log-file if the machine comes back, there is no general event to trigger such a notification. Regards Martin

What about some kind of ping that can be send to or from each kiosk this is already send when it goes offline, so how difficult can it be to let siteremote server ping a kiosk to see if its online or not?

Hi, The communication between SiteRemote and Terminals is alwasy initiated by the Terminal. You can see that a Terminal is back online in SR. But there is no event in SR to trigger an email that a single Terminal is back to SR. It is hard to detect if a Terminal is just comming back because of an error or if there is another reason like just beeing started. So, as already said, there is no trigger for this in general.
