FAQ: SiteKiosk installed on Windows 8.1 will not connect to SiteCafe


Applies to SiteKiosk on Windows 8.1:
If SiteKiosk will not connect to SiteCafe Server / display in SiteCafe Manager please check if the optional Windows update KB3134815 is installed

If you uninstall this optional Windows update (-->Control Panel-->Programs and Features-->View installed updates) it works again.

Otherwise check that TCP port 45540 is not blocked at any firewall between SiteKiosk and SiteCafe machine.
