Hello,

By default SiteKiosk deletes the temporary internet files and cookies on logout and screen saver activation.
So the easiest way would be to use the idle time settings of the screensaver for this (SiteKiosk Configuration Tool-->Screensaver).

Otherwise you can create an external script that you add to the SiteKiosk configuration (-->Start Page & Browser-->Advanced).
Also see “6. Execute script file“:https://www.provisio.com/helpconsole/SiteKiosk%20Help/en-US/default.htm?advanced_settings.htm

In that script file you may use JavaScript for time controlled execution and call the Logout Method:

Thank you for your reply.

Is there a guide for best configuration on SiteKiosk ?

In particular we have a costumer that has a very bad network connection (20 MB max speed) and we have the TOTEM connected via wireless.

At the first startup, opening a webpage require very long time.

Are there some tricks to resolve this issue?

Thanks.

Hello,

SiteKiosk just uses the internet connection provided by the Windows system (like any other browser) and for security reasons it is recommended to leave the default Logout settings.
(The Logout settings apply to the logout button, the screensaver activation and the starting and closing of SiteKiosk and allow users to erase all traces they have left behind while using your terminal. This means that the browser will close all running applications and all open windows, return to the Start Page, and clear the browser history.)

If you have a slow internet connection you may create a local start page (html file) or have a look at the “Start Screen” (-->Start Page & Browser) that you can use to add buttons with web links that the users can open then.
