Support Request: https to http rollback impossible on SiteKiosk session

Description

Hello,

1.We call an url in StartPage with http://,
2.Then we decided to use https:// for this url instead.
3. And now we have rollback to http://

when we select "Start Once" option from the configuration editor it calls the url in http:// but with "Start Auto", we have still the https:// call instead of the http:// we have set on StartPage.

Have you got a solution for this issue ?

Many thanks in advance.

Hello,

SiteKiosk 9.1 is out of support but there is no known issue and SiteKiosk explicitly calls the URL you configure.
Furthermore SiteKiosk uses the same configuration in “Start once” like in “Auto Start” mode (if you don’t change it).

Therefore it might be due to an automatic redirection from http to https on the Web Server (like e.g. with http://www.google.com).
You may also check the URL you want to use as start page outside of SiteKiosk in another browser (in IE when using an IE based skin and in Chrome if using the Chrome Browser skin). Also delete the browser cache before testing.

Otherwise you may send your SiteKiosk configuration file (...\SiteKiosk\Config\YourConfig.skcfg), a current log file (…\SiteKiosk\Logfiles) and a step by step description how to reproduce this behavior via e-mail to support-europe(at)provisio.com
then we can check it with the most current SiteKiosk version 9.8.
