Support Request: Unable to install site security manager

Description

I followed the instructions in https://www.provisio.com/en-US/CustomerSupportCenter/ArticleDetails.aspx?ArticleID=476 but they still do not work. I'm unable to have the software create the user account necessary. Can you assist?

sitekiosk.exe /V"DEFAULTPASSWD=12MyPasswd" (using my own password of course)

Thank you for clarifying. I have tested this command parameter and it still works. You might not have been calling the file executable correctly or your system/domain network does not allow the creation of the user account this way.

1. Be sure to use the right file path and file name:
Downloaded file is - sikekiosk9.exe

Example:

C:\Users\<YOUR USER>\Downloads\sitekiosk9.exe /V"DEFAULTPASSWD=12MyPasswd"

"C:\Users\<YOUR USER>\Downloads\sitekiosk9 (3).exe" /V"DEFAULTPASSWD=12MyPasswd"

You want to be careful of spaces within your file path as in second example command.

2. If the parameter above fails, then you can bypass that issue by installing SiteKiosk without the restricted user and install the user later.
Install without restricted user with silent install parameter:

C:\Users\<YOUR USER>\Downloads\sitekiosk9.exe /S /V"/qn INSTALLSYSTEMSECURITYUSER=\"\""

(allow 10-20 mins, depending on computer performance)

Install restricted user after silent install is complete, with commands:

cd "C:\Program Files (x86)\SiteKiosk"

SystemSecurity /install

or

SystemSecurity /install [/user:SiteKiosk /pass:MyPassword12!]
(Please edit MyPassord12! to your choice)

these do not work:

Was SiteKiosk installed successfully? What error message are you getting? Did you try restarting the computer after installation?
