Support Request: SiteKiosk process slow after first boot

Description

Good morning!

On a couple of our systems we are experiencing a weird problem, and at this point, I have no other idea than to contact you for help.

The problem is, that on every second or third morning - not on every morning - the whole installation is incredibly slow. It's so slow, that opening a new web page takes up to 15 seconds (each machine runs it's own local web server, so no networking problems. After a restart of the machine, the software works normal again and will not show any problems until the next day or the day after that.

Today we learned that even after a restart of the SiteKiosk process (Configuring and thereby forcing SK to restart), the problems disappear. So we can be almost certain about blaming SK, but neither the operating system nor the webserver, right?

Now, my question is: Have you ever heard of something similar. What could it possible be, that slows down a process after the machine is automatically booted into SK, but only when it's the first boot in the morning, and only on some days. Sound like maybe a backup or update routine..
Have you any idea how we could further investigate this issue? Is there a way to produce a stack trace or print some self analytics when this happens again? Sidenote: I can not open the task manager from the Control window..

Thank you,

Jan

Hi,

without further details it is quite difficult to help you. Please send the SiteKiosk Log-file and the Event-Log information via email to support-europe(at)provisio.com. There is no issue known in general which might fit to this behaviour.
