Support Request: Increase size keys on virtual keybard in resolution 1680 x 1050 portrait screen

Reproduction

no bug

Description

We are operating site kiosk in an outside environment where drivers are sitting in their truck and are using the virtual keyboard to enter information.
Drivers currently complain that the keyboard is too small an that too many errors are made.
We therefor want to increase the size of the keyboard.
Sitekiosk is operated on a 21,5 inch screen - with a resolution of 1680 x 1050 in portrait mode.
Only alpha numeric keys are needed, including the back button.
Chromium is used.

Hello,

in the configuration of SiteKiosk go to On-Screen Keyboard, click the Advanced button and under Display size of the keyboard select a percentage value bigger than 100% that will fit your needs. Note that the keyboard design might look slightly blurry when selecting values bigger than 100%.

Thanks a lot for the information. We increase the size of the keyboard to 300%. See below configuration. The whole width of the screen is now filled but nevertheless this is still too small. I see two options:
1) is there a way to adapt also the height of the keyboard? in the configuration it is only possible to manage the width. --> however I think increasing the height would be a suboptimal solution as the keys would be out of proportion

2) is there a keyboard layout available which is as simple as "Simple English Black" but has no separate numpad - but instead has the numbers on top - this would have a large impact on the size of the keys as we could increase the "width" of the keyboard because of the missing numpad.

3) if the above requested keyboard is not available could we have a company specific keyboard created / designed / developed by Provisio. If yes, what would be the procedure to follow?

If any other idea exists to improve the size of the keys. Please also suggest any idea. Thanks.

Hello,

The properties of each on-screen keyboard are set with their images and an XML file. Therefore, the keys cannot be enlarged separately, but only the entire image.
The files for the "Simple English Black" keyboard can be found at "...SiteKiosk\Skins\Simple_English\Dark".

Otherwise, you may want to take a look at the "Windows 8 Touchscreen" keyboard. It doesn't have number keys on top, but they can be accessed separately by pressing &123, which gives the other keys more room on the screen.

If you need further assistance in creating an individual on-screen keyboard you can contact us via e-mail that we may find a solution against payment for your needs.
In case you are interested please write a detailed description to support-europe(at)provisio.com that we can check the technical feasibility and the amount of work to make a quotation.
The adjustment fees are depending on the complexity of the changes and in general it costs 120 Euro per hour.
